Jean Ellen Brown Award Dinner
The Jean Ellen Brown Award is presented at a dinner to honor a member of St. Monica Parish or the Mishawaka Catholic School Community for their outstanding generosity of self to our parish and school. Jean Ellen Brown gave her whole life to our parish. She taught in St. Monica School and was the caretaker of the house of God for many years, preparing liturgical ministers, cleaning and decorating the Church, and organizing liturgies for the edification of all. She was a great witness to the love of God and a tireless disciple of our Lord, Jesus Christ. We are grateful to the many “Jean Browns” that have helped our parish and we pray that her generous spirit will always be seen in the members of our community.
A night of fun and facts. Sign up a table and bring your own food to share with your friends (Drinks must be purchased at the Event). Then enjoy a competition of wit where the winners will walk away with not only a night of fun but some great prizes. Contact the parish office to sign up for our next Trivia Night.
The next Trivia Night at St. Monica is March 11th, doors open at 6pm!
Fourth of July
More info coming soon.
The feast of St. Monica is August 27th. During the closest weekend we have a festival to celebrate our patroness and come together as a community to have some fun and witness to the joy of the Gospel. The highlight of the festival is our Mass and picnic on the Sunday with great food, games, and music. The night before we hope to have a Karaoke party in the backyard of Father Jacob’s rectory for the adults to spend an evening together.
Our annual Rummage Sale is a great fundraiser for our parish and helps others clean out their closets, homes, and garages. We collect items year-round and have the sale in the spring.
